With the conclusion of Hellfire Citadel and the announcement of Legion, World of Warcraft players could be forgiven for thinking that the curtain had fallen on new content in the current expansion, Warlords of Draenor. But Blizzard isn’t resting as they continue to find new ways to keep players logging in each week. Patch 6.2.3 may only be a small content patch but it aims to add more to players’ to-do lists before Legion launches.

First off, Timewalking dungeons. The pool of dungeons available is being increased to include Magister’s Terrace from Burning Crusade, Pit of Saron from Wrath of the Lich King and Grim Batol, Stonecore, Lost City of Tol’vir, The Vortex Pinnacle, Throne of Tides and End Time from the Cataclysm expansion. There will also be reputation tokens available for the Cataclysm factions as well as a few new toys as well.

If gear and toys aren’t enough to persuade you to take part in the Timewalking events then perhaps the new mount will be. The Infinite Timereaver, pictured below, is a drake that has the appearance of the Infinite dragons that we’ve come across so many times before.

Mythic and heroic dungeon loot is getting an improvement too. Mythics will now award item level 715 gear and an heirloom trinket that scales up to level 110 in preparation for Legion. Valor points will now be given out in both mythic and heroic dungeons and will be used to upgrade weapons and armour twice.

Raiding is over for Warlords of Draenor but there is a new reward for heroic and mythic raiders. On completion of the Archimonde encounter in Hellfire Citadel players will be rewarded with an item that begins a quest line to obtain the new Grove Warden mount from the druids of Moonglade. This reward will be removed shortly before Legion is launched so get your hands on this one while you can.

Not a great deal of new news for PvP-ers. Season 2 draws to a close and season 3 will be kicking off soon with item level 715, 730 and 740 Warmongering Gear up for grabs.

So whilst the next expansion may still be a long way away there is still plenty to do in Warcraft.
