Xbox boss Phil Spencer has been no stranger to acknowledging his competitors and how well they are performing. He has again spoken out on the subject of Microsoft’s vision of Xbox One and how the success of PS4 affects that vision.
Spencer has simply said that right now, Xbox is determined to be the best console it can be. “Our long-term Xbox vision isn’t about competitors, it’s about gamers,” he said on Twitter. “We’ll stay focused there.”
He later added that the “team is 100% committed to making XB1 a great gaming console. Games, OS, XBL, that’s the focus.” These comments come shortly after earlier this month when Spencer admitted that the PS4 had a “huge lead” over the Xbox One in terms of sales. Similar to the most recent comments, Spencer said that “we’re not motivated by beating Sony, we’re motivated by gaining as many customers as we can.”
