“Become the world’s greatest NES master!”

You have the chance to do just that by hopping over to Super Mario Maker now to play a new NES Remix level.

The level, available under the events tab, was inspired by last year’s NES Remix and rewards players who download and complete it with a new costume for Mario: the frog suit.

“In the NES Remix series, a variety of classic Nintendo Entertainment System games are given a new lease on life. This course gives you a taste of the Remix Stages from that series, where you can play old games with a new twist! Enjoy rushing ahead with a Super Star or experiencing a course in reverse,” the level’s description reads via IGN.

Super Mario Maker debuted in September on Wii U. In our review, we said, “I would never say that Nintendo is only selling their games based on nostalgia, however. I still think a lot of their works are high quality, and deserve good scores. I also believe it’s my job to critically judge a game. For what Super Mario Maker is trying to do, it does it well. But remember this: If you are not a die hard Super Mario fan, gritting your teeth waiting for the next installment to release, this game is probably not for you. I’d wait and see if Nintendo ever blesses you with a sale on it.”
