Just Cause 3 map looks incredible.
PlayStation Access recently uploaded the video above showing the world Just Cause 3 will take place in, the island of Medici. The map is incredibly detailed, and will looks like it’ll be a blast to explore when the game comes out. Game Informer reports that the size of JC 3’s map is 400 square miles.
According to GameSpot, “”Just Cause 3’s world size is not necessarily larger than Just Cause 2’s, though it’s supposed to feel more “dense” than its predecessor.” Game director Roland Lesterlin stated, “Just Cause 2 was already enormous,” and went on to say, “We really wanted to focus now on density and the feel of the world itself. So we didn’t necessarily just have to do increased land mass. But we have certainly gone a lot bigger when it comes to density of the world. And now it’s not just on top of the world–we also have caves and tunnels and all sorts of stuff there, too.””
From the video above, I really get a sense of how in depth the world is. It is especially cool to see the types of terrain change as they travel across Medici. The mountains looks especially beautiful, and some have a nice touch of snow on them. Some plateaus were shown, and they also looked amazing. The water in the game is the sexiest water I’ve ever seen in a video game. It sparkles, and you can see the waves move, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the waves effect how your boat will bounce off the waters.
The video also shows how beautifully placed cities, lakes, bridges, and roads are placed. It also shows how diverse some of the enemy bases can be from one another; although, they aren’t focused on in this video.
Recently, Avalanche Studios played with the idea for a multiplayer mode for JC 3, but they decided they’ll focus on the single-player experience for now. After the game is released, they may take some time to patch some bugs, and hopefully later they will decide to add multiplayer gameplay. After all, Just Cause 2‘s modded multiplayer mode was an incredible hit with fans. This modded mode was able to hold 1000+ players in a server.

The game will be released on December 1st. It will be available on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Just Cause 3 is an open world action adventure game. There is also quite a bit of destruction in this game franchise. So, you will be able to blow up many things. Avalanche Studios announced that the PS4 will be able to run the game at 1080p, and the Xbox One will be able to run it at 9oop. There is also a 4K video of Just Cause 3‘s game settings all turned on overkill. That video will be posted below.
