Roughly a month ago, Humble had announced their brand new service: The Humble Monthly Bundle. This service would provide you with a bundle of games if you purchase the subscription for $12 USD per month. For this week, as a sign of good will, if you bought the subscription earlier, you would have Legend of Grimrock II off the bat. Today, the rest of the games in the bundle has been revealed:
- Saints Row IV – You are the President of the United States, you have superpowers, and you must save the Earth from the alien overlord, Zinyak. This is Saints Row IV.
- Besieged – Lay waste to everything before you with customly constructed medieval siege engines. Take on immense fortresses and peaceful hamlets in this polished Early Access game that already plays like a full release (which you’ll also receive once it comes out!).
- Valkyria Chronicles – Originally released for the Playstation 3 but newly released on PC earlier this year, Valkyria Chronicles combines real-time combat with turn-based strategy for a unique blend of strategy and shooter.
- Lethal League – Batter up! Lethal League is a local and online fighting free-for-all where you win by hitting an anti-gravity ball into the face of your opponent. It’s got an amazing soundtrack and a cast of characters that ranges from the mad Candyman to a cyborg crocodile. Quickly addicted, we found ourselves saying “just one more game” over and over again.
- Sanctuary RPG – Find yourself on a humorous and strategic turn-based dungeon crawler that serves as a friendly introduction to ASCII textual adventures. With an expansive story and outstanding replay value, SanctuaryRPG gave us lots to love… and a new appreciation for potatoes.
- Towerfall Ascension – TowerFall Ascension is the definitive version of the hit archery combat game, TowerFall. Inspired by classics from the golden age of couch multiplayer, it’s a local party game centering around hilarious, intense versus matches that are best played competitively with friends, cross-legged on the floor within punching distance of each other.
- Legend of Grimrock II – Embark on a dungeon crawler that mixes modern execution with old school heart. Four prisoners are shipwrecked on the secluded Isle of Nex. To make it out alive, they need to overcome the challenges devised by an ominous mastermind. Can you uncover the secrets of Nex?
There you have it, a very strong beginning bundle for the subscription service. Fortunately, of these games I’ve only had Valkyrie Chronicles previously. It’s still a relatively great service and if you’re looking into obtaining some really great games every month, set aside 12 bucks for it.
