With all the security and secrecy revolving around the production of the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens, it is not without a sense of humor.

On an interview with Conan, Andy Serkis was confronted about the rumors of him playing an evil Jar Jar Binks.  This question was not without a little bit of precedence, given the extensive fan theory that Jar Jar Bink was Force sensitive and working for the Sith.

When questioned about his role in the new movie, Serkis did indeed confirm the rumors with the wryest of grins.  He then proceeded to do an uncanny impression of what that character would sound like.  You can see the full interview here.

While it has been confirmed that we will not see the Gungan in the new movie, Andy Serkis still does play a role, a character by the name Supreme Leader Snoke.  The scarce official information bout this characters is what has sparked the fanbase to produce theories such as the evil Jar Jar.

Jar Jar Binks has been the subject of many jokes, given the mixed feelings about the insertion of this quirky and goofy character into the prequels.  On a Q&A video, J.J. Abrams teased a question about the reappearance of the infamous Gungan with his very own Netflix series called “Binks and I.”

These are just a few of the jokes about Jar Jar’s presence in the rest of the series, as well as the humorously exaggerated heavy effort to keep the film under tight security, also an interview with Andy Serkis.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to hit theaters December 18th.
