Ubisoft have now announced the separate release dates on both console and PC for the latest addition to the Far Cry franchise. Far Cry Primal is set to be available on PC from March 1st of next year.

This date will come after Primal’s release to the Xbox One and PS4 on February 23rd. This is similar to the release dates of Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate earlier this year, where despite the console releases being on October 23rd, the PC version came out on November 19th, almost a full month afterwards.

Though the reason for the Far Cry Primal release gap has not been confirmed, Ubisoft’s reason for the later Syndicate release on PC was due to optimisation and stabilisation efforts. Whatever the reason, PC gamers will sadly have to wait a full extra week to get their hands on a copy.
