In November we saw DLC for Halo 5: Guardians, despite the game only being released October 27th 2015.
The December DLC, Cartographer’s Gift, was detailed at the Video Game Awards last night. We don’t have a specific release date yet, and 343 Industries was a little shy on the details shared.
Cartographer’s Gift will include Forge mode, More of the micro transaction Req packs, and more maps for Arena and Warzone.
In the first week of Halo 5 being out, they had generated over $500,000 in sales from the Req packs. It was later revealed that proceeds from the Req packs go towards the Halo 5 World Championship prize pool, which was last reported to be “increased by 500,000”. Last night, the 343 industries representative updated that the prize pool was over $2,000,000 at the moment.
