Danganronpa is getting new game and new anime. This was revealed at Spike Chunsoft’s press conference yesterday.

The trailer above is for the Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak anime. This anime will take place after Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, and it will conclude the Hope’s Peak Academy series. This series is scheduled to air some time in 2016.

I’m very excited about this, but I hope this anime will be done better than the original Danganronpa anime, based of the video game. The original Danganronpa anime was very fast paced, and even a little difficult at times to understand, even if you played the game before. The anime style of the game makes it easy for fans to transition to watching the anime.

The New Danganronpa V3 Everyone’s New Semester of Killing is the sequel to the Danganronpa series and will take place after Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak.  According to Gematsu, “New Danganronpa V3‘s theme is “psycho cool.” A completely new chapter in the series, it is set in the “Gifted Inmates Academy.” There will still be the same exploration and class trail parts as the other numbered games, but this time you’ll use “lies” to defeat your opponents.

That last part sounds incredibly exciting. I wonder how this it’ll mess up This makes me hope that at some point you’ll commit a murder and have to lie your way out of it to avoid execution.
