As of today, December 6, Sony’s Playstation 4 price cut goes into effect. From today until December 19, you will be able to purchase a Playstation 4 for $300 dollars, a $50 price cut. Sony offered a similar deal on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
It’s not just the standard edition of the console either that the deal applies to. The price cut also applies to the Star Wars: Battlefront bundle and the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection bundle.
Several retailers are going above and beyond with the deal. Best Buy is offering a free copy of Destiny: The Taken King – Legendary Edition to buyers of the Uncharted bundle.
Microsoft has not answered with a similar price cut. The Xbox One was sold for $300 on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but returned to it’s original $350 price tag afterwards.
