In honor of Star Wars: The Force Awakens opening this weekend, Battlefront is giving players a little something special. During what EA and DICE are calling “Double Score Weekend,” running from today until Sunday, December 20th, players will receive double the experience points for blasting their way through the Star Wars galaxy.
“No matter how many times you’re planning on watching the movie this weekend, there will be plenty of time to take advantage,” a blog post on the game’s website explains. “What better way to celebrate the release of the film than a boost to your score and, in turn, the credits you earn from completing any multiplayer match… This not only allows you to rank up quicker, but unlock those outstanding Star Cards, Emotes, and much more.”
Our review of Star Wars Battlefront found the game to be a wonderful recreation of the Star Wars universe, but said, “Sadly, it feels as though the only thing carrying this game at this stage is the Star Wars title.”
