Nintendo’s final direct of the year will air next week on the 15th December at 2pm PST / 5pm EST.
Unlike the usual Nintendo directs however, this one will be dedicated to Super Smash Bros. rather than a variety of games. Nintendo have also announced that Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai will talk about details for the next DLC character; Final Fantasy 7’s Cloud Strife.
In addition this will also be the last video presentation for Super Smash Bros. perhaps indicating developer support for the game is coming to an end. So it wouldn’t be surprising to see some surprise announcements, perhaps including the result of the community character vote. I’m personally hoping that they announce buffs to Metaknight making him overpowered like he was in Brawl so I can maybe win online again. Somehow I doubt that will happen.
