With Star Wars: The Force Awakens just around the corner, featurettes and promos for the film have been arriving by the truckloads, or more appropriately, by the Starships.
Droids have always been a big part of the Star Wars universe. Ranging from the first release of Star Wars IV: A New Hope in 1977 all of the way up until Star Wars III: Revenge of the Sith in 2005, characters like R2-D2 and C-3PO have been in all of the Star Wars films. The video, featured above, showcases a new droid for the seventh film in the series, BB-8.
The Force Awakens is the first film in the new trilogy which spans Episodes Seven through Nine. Lawrence Kasdan, longtime writer for Star Wars including the upcoming film, spoke about what the future of the franchise would look like with different directors handling the next two films.
