With the localization release of Yakuza 5 back on the 8th of December, the team over at Sega has already smashed the world with footage of Yakuza 6 while the iron’s hot. The new teaser trailer for Yakuza 6 shows off Kiryu in all of his new generation-looking model as he stomps through the mean streets of Kamurocho.
I say new generation-looking because Yakuza 6 will be the first entry for the series to be created for the current generation systems. Yakuza 5 was a PlayStation 3 title.
Fighting and manuvering around Japan, the engine shows some incredible details. Hit sparks and particle effects when Kiryu lays the smack down are looking very impressive.
Yakuza 6 is slated for release on the PlayStation 4 in Japan in Fall 2016. No word yet on localization. But judging by how difficult it was for Yakuza 5 to come abroad, taking 3 years, the best people thing to secure this, is to show Sega that there’s interest in the series! So if you can, purchase Yakuza 5!
