When Watch Dogs released in 2014, it had an impact on gaming as great as a wet sponge has on a granite counter top. Heralded as “the next generation of gaming,” Watch Dogs ended up being a pretty average game, receiving a steady stream of 7’s and 8’s out of 10 and being forgotten by the holiday season. Watch Dogs 2 is in the works, but hasn’t been given a release date yet.
In the meantime, a new Grand Theft Auto 5 mod allows players looking to scratch that Watch Dogs itch, adding a bunch of hacking functions into the game.
Everything from hacking traffic lights and setting off car alarms comes into play, even improving on some hacks from Watch Dogs.
