Sony’s now released the official theatrical trailer for their upcoming Angry Birds movie. The new trailer has revealed some of the movie’s plot, and goes into why the red bird is just so darned angry.
Red (voiced by Jason Sudeikis) is a bird with an eyebrow problem, which has made him ostracized by the rest of the flock on the island. In turn, this has made Red quite angry and easily ticked off. His other friends, Chuck (Josh Gad) and Bomb (Danny McBride) have been made outsiders by the flock. Once the island begins being invaded with pigs, they’re left as the flock’s only hope to save their eggs.
This will be developer Rovio Entertainment’s first attempt at a movie based on the popularized mobile game and is being written by Jon Vitti, who is most known for his work on The Simpsons. The movie is coming out sometime in May 2016.
