Owners of the original Rock Band and Rock Band 4 can enjoy the music on both games. Providing they meet several requirements, that is.
The export from Rock Band is currently available for PlayStation 4 users in North America. Harmonix is working to bringing the feature to Xbox One users, and PlayStation 4 users in Europe.
The original Rock Band had a export option available for 5 years, which is no longer sold. If you own the export option, you can follow instructions found here. If not, you’re out of luck.
47 songs in total will be available for export immediately, with 8 tracks coming at a later date, and 3 which will never be available for export.
The 8 songs available for export at a later date are listed below, (via GameSpot) with Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid”, Iron Maiden’s “Run to the Hills”, and Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” never being available for export. The reasons were unspecified.
