Faith returns but ‘broken’ according to the newest trailer in which you may have watched. Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is a reboot from the original game in which Faith’s story is re-revealed; she’s an outlaw fighting against the Conglomerate and its leader Gabriel Kruger. Many of the characters shown within the trailer are reoccurring characters such as Noah and Celeste.

As the trailer runs to an end 3 major points turned up: There’s a closed beta you can participate in, the game will be released on May 24th, 2016 and the footage shown throughout the video is actual in-engine footage. So whilst the shown content may not be exactly in the game, the detail in running animations, surroundings and combat are very much in the game’s engine.

As mentioned, the game will be released on May 24th. The game will be available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The closed beta in which you can apply for now will run on all of these systems, with the PC version being on Origins. There’s currently not date yet as to the closed beta, but only time will tell.
