Dungeons & Dragons fans will now get the opportunity to explore the lands of Sword Coast region of Faerûn on the comfort of their couch, bean bag chair, or the pile of buddies with which they choose to adventure. Sword Coast Legends will be available for XBox One and PlayStation4 sometime this spring, although a specific date has not yet been announced.  The game was released for PC Mac and Linux on October 20, 2015, but some changes have been made to the console additions since then.

The console version of this multiplayer RPG will include additional skill trees, a hardcore mode,  and new areas to explore.   Additionally, new armor and weapons will be available, just in time for the addition of the Beholder, the Tome of Knowledge, and an Order of the Burning Dawn Cloak.  The Rage of Demons expansion will be available for free for console players.  And last but not least, the Drow will now be a playable sub-race.

There will also still be the option for a DM to partake in the adventure, customizing maps, designing the adventure, and even playing the roll of the boss for added challenge.

“Sword Coast Legends is a solid loot crawl with more options than most games of its kind,” says reviewer Bradley Halestorm from Hardcore Gamer, “…its host of modes, delightful story, clever writing and the ability to play player-run and -created campaigns solo or with others, on top of having a creation suite for those who want to play the part of dungeon master, all make for a content-rich experience.”

Sword Coast Legends will be available for XBox One and PlayStation4 for $19.99.
