Even though the largest competitors for VR aren’t even out yet, the Virtual Reality market is already a growing piece of the industry. With Oculus Rift releasing next month, the next question is just when we will get our hands on Sony’s PlayStation VR. Thanks to a possible slip by GameStop’s CEO, we may have an answer.

During a recent interview with Fox News, an interview about taxes of all things, CEO Paul Raines stated the company “will launch the Sony [VR] product this fall,” and is in “discussions with the other two players [Oculus Rift and HTC Vive].”

Sony has said multiple times to expect PlayStation VR in the first half of 2016, but this seems to perhaps not be the case. Videogamer reached out to Sony and were told, “The launch date [for PlayStation VR] will be announced in due course. We have nothing more to comment on at this time.”

Were you hoping for PlayStation VR in the coming months? Or are you okay waiting until the fall? Let us know in the comments.
