Pokémon’s 20th anniversary celebration continues – this time in Super Mario Maker.

Costumes for the three original starter Pokémon – Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander – are now available to Super Mario Maker players after completing the game’s new event course three times, each with a different costume. Afterwards, the costumes will be available to be added to your own courses.

The new costumes arrive just weeks before the original Pokémon titles, Blue, Red and Yellow, are released on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console alongside the release of special 3DS Pokémon consoles.

The celebration continues elsewhere with the release of Wii U fighter title, Pokken, as well as GameStop’s giveaway of level 100 Mew Pokémon. How are you celebrating?
