Though the core game allowed players to ‘be the zombie’ in its hectic asymmetrical multiplayer, it’s getting a bit more intense as Dying Light: The Following changes things up.
In keeping with the addition of buggies in the upcoming expansion, Techland is adding a new multiplayer game mode called Be the Zombie: Showdown.
The team describes it as “a new dimension of 4v1 online matches… Competitive gameplay gets much more dynamic and violent with the addition of weaponized buggies and the new map, allowing players to come up with completely new tactics for both survivors and the Night Hunter. Additionally, the Night Hunter has undergone a series of balance tweaks, which translates into a new experience that will surprise even veteran Be the Zombie players.”
The Following is set to be a huge expansion, adding fully customizable buggies, a new chapter to the story, and a map twice as large as the core game. It releases next week, on February 9th. What do you think of Showdown? Let us know in the comments.
