The latest from Ubisoft Massive, third-person shooter The Division has grossed more than $330 million in its first five days, setting a record for a new video game franchise in its opening week.
The figure was announced by CEO and co-founder of Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot in a recent press release. Thanks was also given to fans for their support.
“We are very proud of our teams, and humbled by and thankful for the millions of players who are giving us their feedback and support,” said Guillemot. “The Division is the latest example yet of our unique ability to deliver immersive gaming playgrounds that keeps players engaged and that they eagerly share with their friends and community.”
The Division is seemingly on a warpath against existing records set by Ubisoft titles, also breaking the record for single-day sales.
The Division is available now on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4.
