For Xbox General Manager

In the same post, found on Xbox Wire, Lemke confirmed the closure of Press Play Studios. This will end the development of Project Knoxville.

For fans of Lionhead studios, it doesn’t look like the future is any brighter. Currently, Microsoft is in talks with employees at Lionhead studios for a proposed closure.

Lemke was quick to defend both studios, however, saying that the games they have released had a great impact on gamers and the industry. “These have been tough decisions and we have not made them lightly, nor are they a reflection on these development teams – we are incredibly fortunate to have the talent, creativity and commitment of the people at these studios.”

Lionhead Studios is known for creating the Fable series over the past decade, while Press Play made Max: The Curse of Brotherhood, and Kalimba.
