The Kingdom Hearts series recently celebrated its 14th anniversary. To help celebrate, director Tetsuya Nomura released a new screenshot of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue.
The screenshot, seen below, shows a HD version of Daybreak Town. The screenshot comes from Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover, one of the games that is included in the upcoming collection.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue will include a high-definition remaster of the 3DS title Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, as well as two new pieces of content for the series. The first is the aforementioned Kingdom Hearts X [chi] Back Cover, which will the story of the Foretellers in HD cinematics. The second is Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage, which follow the events of Birth by Sleep from the perspective of Aqua.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue releases for the PlayStation 4 later this year. Kingdom Hearts III, the next core game in the series, is also in development for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
