Naughty Dog has set a high goal with Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End in terms of technical boundaries, and they’ve decided to show off some of this technical prowess in their latest dev diary.

One point of particular note is when technical art director Teagan Morrison explains how much larger Nathan Drake’s next adventure will be: ten times, to be exact. This is translated directly into the amount of space available for players to explore, in part due to multiple branching paths now with many objectives.

As well, Naughty Dogs has decided to rid itself of the black screens in between gameplay and cutscenes, as well as having all cutscenes operate in-game, removing much of the player disconnect during cutscenes.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End releases exclusively for the PS4 on May 10th.
