A special collector’s edition of No Man’s Sky called the Explorer’s Edition has been made by iam8bit.
This physical, PC-only collector’s version of the game comes with a code for No Man’s Sky (either GOG or Steam), a hand-painted metal replica of the in-game ship (complete with customizable decals and diorama display backdrop), a Traveller Pin, and a mystery item. The mystery item will be announced with the game’s release. The price of the Explorer’s Edition is $150, more than double the price of the standard edition of the game.
“Like all of iam8bit’s products, this is a lovingly crafted package, designed to evoke a sense of space nostalgia via the inclusion of a tin toy-style ship replica,” the Explorer’s Edition’s description reads. “We’ve spared no expense to achieve hyper-detail, constructing the ship from a high-quality metal cast and then hand-painting each with precision.”
There’s only going to be 10,000 copies made, so it’s imagined that these will go out of sale quickly. You can pre-order it now, but only have until March 17th to cancel your order.
