The president of developer PlatinumGames, Tatsuya Minam, reportedly stepped down from his role at the company last month according to GamesBusiness.JP.

As a result, Minam has apparently been replaced by Kenichi Sato, who was previously the executive director of Platinum. Minam started his career at Capcom.

The reveal was discovered just a single day before the release of Star Fox Zero on the Wii U and as the company celebrated their 10th anniversary.

Other than Star Fox Zero, PlatinumGames is the name behind other Wii U exclusives, Bayonetta 2 and The Wonderful 101. Star Fox Zero releases on Friday, April 22 alongside Star Fox Guard, and is currently receiving less than stellar scores from many popular gaming outlets.
