The Total War franchise is normally placed in ancient times, following more realistic settings than Total War: Warhammer.
Based off of the popular table top game, Total War: Warhammer takes the classic Fantasy races and pits them against each other in a turn based strategy game.
Dwarves, Orcs and Goblins, Vampires, and the Empire will all be making appearances in the immediate release of the game. Any DLC races that may or may not come have not been specified, but I’m personally hoping that The Skaven will be a playable race soon.
The latest video shows off the Vampire Counts in action, with Total War releasing a official walk through video for the race.
Total War: Warhammer has a release date set for May 24th, and will be a PC exclusive.
