Since it was released, it seems like gamers all around hardly talk about anything besides Overwatch. From what characters they are trying to master, to crazy situations they got in, to when they finally made Play of the Game. Another reason it may seem like this hero shooter is always being talked about it due to the number of players participating every day.
Blizzard revealed that within the short time Overwatch has been released, over 7 million players have participated in all the fun. It is not surprising, considering they created a title to bring in the FPS fans, the MOBA fans, and everyone who has a strong loyalty to Blizzard as a whole. “We poured a lot of effort into creating a game—and a new universe—that anyone could enjoy,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO of Blizzard. “We’re ecstatic to have had such a successful launch, and we’re looking forward to all of the fun, competition, and new content still to come.”
