ARK: Survival of the Fittest, the free-to-play spin-off of ARK: Survival Evolved, for the PlayStation 4 has been delayed indefinitely.

The game is already available on PC and was originally slated for a July 19 release on PS4. According to Studio Wildcard, Survival of the Fittest has been pushed back due to an increased focus on bringing Survival Evolved to the platform.

“Hey ARK fans, Studio Wildcard is putting the PS4 version of ARK: Survival of the Fittest on hold in order to focus on preparing ARK: Survival Evolved for PS4 release,” the developers said on PlayStation’s official blog. “While this means ARK: Survival of the Fittest won’t be releasing on PS4 in July 2016, we’re working towards an earlier release of ARK: Survival Evolved.”.

Survival Evolved was first released on PC in 2015, and later came to Xbox One through the Game Preview programme. Survival Evolved is currently in early access on Xbox One and PC. A full release on PS4, Xbox One, and PC is planned to release holiday 2016.

As of yet, there has been no announcement of a new date for Survival of the Fittest. Make sure to stay tuned for further updates on the game’s future release.
