It looks as though Spider-man fans will have to wait a little while longer for Sony’s new Spider-man game. Insomniac Games, the developer behind the game responded to a fan’s tweet related to the game’s release date. The developer responded that the game does not have a release date at this point and that fans should not expect one anytime soon.
Insomniac games are also the developers behind both Ratchet and Clank as well as Sunset Overdrive.
Sony had announced the game at their E3 press conference earlier this year. The trailer that was shown at the conference showed off the overall looks and feel of the game as well as some impressive web swinging for our friendly neighborhood Spider-man.
Insomniac claims that all of the footage that was show on stage was both in-game and in-engine.
Along with Spider-man, Sony announced other games such as God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, Resident Evil 7, and Days gone. Along with these games, Sony gave us more information on their new VR headset. Even though we are not sure when Spider-man will be released, there will be plenty of game’s in Sony’s lineup to keep us busy until then.
