Microsoft has released nearly seven minutes of Gears of War 4 gameplay, showing series protagonist Marcus Fenix back in action.

In the gameplay (seen below), we see protagonist J.D. Fenix and his companions, including his father, Marcus, fight through a Windflare storm against creatures called the Swarm. The core Gears of War cover-to-cover gameplay seems to be intact, with additions such as combat knives being thrown into the fray. The storm that we see our protagonists fight through allows players to manipulate their environment, such as blowing away the braces on a pile of scrap so it smashes into a group of enemies.

It has been announced that a special Gears of War 4 Xbox One S bundle will release around the same time as the game. The bundle comes with a custom Xbox One S with 2TB of memory, the Ultimate Edition of Gears of War 4, the Season Pass, early access to the game, and a special controller. Also included is a Vintage pack that includes content such as the vintage Boomshot, Retro Lancer, and more. The bundle will launch on October 7th.

Gears of War 4 is set to release on October 11th. The game will release on Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs.
