Within the midst of all the bubbling joy of Pokemon GO, it was easy to miss out on the reveal of one of the new Pokemon to be introduced in the upcoming Pokemon Sun and Moon. Its name is Salandit and is one smarmy looking ‘Toxic Lizard’. Salandit will be a Fire-Poison type and will be the first of its kind of an untouched combination of types. To top it off, Salandit has a new ability called ‘Corrosion’, an ability that bypasses poison-resistance from various types such as Steel and Poison types.

Further description on Salandit is shown on the Pokemon Company website:

“Salandit emits toxic gas, together with flames, from the base of its tail. This poisonous gas has a sweet smell, and anyone who breathes it in will become dizzy. Salandit is not a very powerful Pokémon, but its cunning nature allows it to battle fiercely by throwing its opponents off balance.

“Salandit females not only release toxic gases, they can also emit pheromones that attract males of all species, including Pokémon and humans. Inhaling those pheromones may cause opponents to be controlled by Salandit’s will.”

You can check out Salandit in all of his mischievous glory below. It, along with the rest of the recently revealed Pokemon will be available to capture and battling from October 18th on Nintendo 3DS.
