Kickstarter is a great way for independent developers to raise money to make they games they think will be great. It is also a great place for gamers to speak their mind tell the developers they are helping support what they would like to see. Even more well known companies, like Nightdive Studios, aren’t above listening to the players. Thanks to them, we will be getting something great with the System Shock reboot.

In the latest update from their Kickstarter campaign, Nightdive Studios has confirmed that the remakes of System Shock will be coming to the PS4. While the Windows and Xbox One, the Mac and Linux versions have also been confirmed with the stretch goal of 1.1 million dollars reached. As far as the PS4 remake, it seems it was just a matter of high demand.

“After we saw the overwhelming demand for PS4, we reshuffled our priorities and focused on talking to Sony about making that happen,” Jason Fader stated. “After a few weeks and lotttts of emails, we are officially on track for bringing System Shock to the PS4! No stretch goal for it. We’re adding it in as a thank you to our backers that put their faith in us.”

They may have passed their pledge goal of $900,000, but with 7 days left, there is still time to raise even more money and make this version of System Shock as great as it can be. Go and support the Kickstarter campaign now.
