The Longest Five Minutes is an RPG with the premise that the beginning of the game places the hero five minutes before the end of the game. The premise is that, there was a memory wipe and the player must recall the fragmented memory in order to defeat the final boss and save the world. This zany, time-restrained RPG was initially released in Japan as “World’s Longest 5 MInutes” on the 28th of July.

Developed by Syupro-DX, the game shares some inspiration from Marvellous Entertainment’s “Half Minute Hero”, the game uses the basis of time in order to send the hero back through flashbacks and recall what led him up to the final battle. Not only that, the game shares a similar art style where it’s 8-bit with a more chibi design. There’s a quick teaser trailer for the PlayStation Vita version of the game which you can watch below.

The game will be coming out sometime in 2017. The PC version already has a Steam store page set up while the PS Vita version will at the least, receive a digital copy. More information concerning the price, concrete release date and whether or not there will be a physical copy is to be released in the coming months.
