The first Titanfall was released in 2014 and was quickly a hit amongst the gaming community. I mean, who doesn’t like to see robots fighting each other to the death. The sequel to this hit is coming this fall. With new gameplay features, such as the grappling hook, a throwing knife, holographic pilots, and even a full story campaign, there is a lot to look forward to with this title. If you own a PS4 or Xbox One, you can test it out as early as this month.

The open multiplayer technical test, as it is being called, for Titanfall 2 begins August 19th. Two modes will be tested this weekend, 5 vs 5 Bounty Hunt and 8 Pilots vs 8 Pilots. In Bounty Hunt, players capture banks and ‘deposit’ cash earned through battling opponents. Pilots vs Pilots is exactly what it sounds like, no titans, just straight up gunplay to the end.

The following weekend, beginning August 26th, will have a beta of 6 vs 6 Amped Hardpoint. This mode has players capture specific zones and hold them against the opposing team for as long as possible. Ion and Scorch will be the only 2 available titans for the Titanfall 2 multiplayer beta.

Unfortunately, this beta is only available for those on PS4 and Xbox One. Those on PC can check the website for the developer’s reasons for leaving them out of this loop. Titanfall 2 will launch on October 28th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
