Backward compatibility on a console allows for owners to take a step back and get in some nostalgia time with one of their old favorite games, maybe while they are in between new hot titles. This can also help them experience an older game they may have missed the first time around. They may even play it and wonder “where have you been my whole life?” The Xbox One has just received two more backward compatible games from the Xbox 360. Check them out to see if it’s love at first sight for you.

First, get the feel of a truly magical world made by the team that knows them best. Disney’s Castle of Illusion: Starring Mickey Mouse is the first game announced on Twitter by Larry “Major Nelson” Hyrb to be newly released via backward compatibility on the Xbox One. Guide Mickey on his quest throughout this castle to save his beloved Minnie.

The second game now available on Xbox One is Forza Horizon. This stylish racer take players to the beautiful mountains of Colorado to take on challengers and enjoy the open road. With a Metacritic score of 85, it is hard not to at least give this one a try. Considering it will also be a free game with gold in September, looks like a nice little gift to me.

These two titles are available now, so go enjoy at your leisure while we wait to see what Xbox 360 games will be awarded to us next.
