Bungie’s adventurous first person shooter, Destiny, is more than just a game. At this point in its long run, it is just as much a community as anything else. What does a gaming community do best? Obviously, get together and raid. With the release of the latest Destiny expansion, Rise of Iron, a new raid is coming as well. Now we know exactly when we’ll be able to gather our team and go head first into the fight.
Bungie has revealed that the new raid, Wrath of the Machine, will be available this Friday, September 22nd, at 10:00 am PT or 1:00 pm ET. With a squad of six, players will make their way through constricting corridors in The Wall, pushing through to make it to open skies towards the end of this journey.
Raid Designer, Gavin Irby spoke with Game Informer about Wrath of the Machine. “It’s hard,” he stated. “It’s largely a function of what your light level is versus the raid.” Irby went on to compliment Destiny players saying, “I think maybe now the community might be ready for something a little different that they can actually overlevel and get some mastery over.”
