The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series, Season 3 has gotten a new subtitle– A New Frontier– and a release date in November.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier, besides being a mouthful, promises to continue the story of The Telltale Series’ mainstay Clementine, who as of A New Frontier is a young woman, as she protect Season 2 orphan AJ. You will also play as Javier, family man and driven protector. Telltale noted that “you may not be playing each character within the same frame of time.”

Telltale also wants to assure players that the game serves as “a new entry point for fans who’ve yet to be caught up to speed […while] those who have played previous seasons will have a story that’s uniquely tailored to the diverging paths they’ve taken in the past.”

The first season was widely lauded as one of the best games of its format at the time, if not Telltale’s best effort to date, and its DLC 400 Days was also well received. The second season dipped in quality, as some felt the story fell apart when you didn’t agree with one character, not to mention obvious plot holes. (How are they feeding an orphan infant in the dead of winter?) Spinoff series The Walking Dead – Michonne waffled, but largely stuck the ending.

The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series – A New Frontier releases in November for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android for digital download. Console gamers can will also be able to get a season pass disc that updates automatically as episodes are released.
