Though not originally announced as part of this month’s Games with Gold, the Xbox 360 Live Arcade game Splosion Man is currently free for Gold Members. And better yet, it’s backwards compatible for Xbox One.

Passing into the second half of the month, new games have come to Games with Gold. Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China and the original Mirror’s Edge have replaced WWE 2K16 and Forza Horizon. Earthlock: Festival of Magic is free all month. It now appears, from the listing on the Xbox website, Splosion Man has joined the line-up, though it’s not clear for how long.

From the well-regarded indie studio Twisted Pixel, Splosion Man is a 2.5D action platformer released in 2009. Players step into the role of an escaped science experiment as he struggles to find a way out of the laboratory, exploding as he does so.

As for the other free titles actually announced as part of Games with Gold, you can get your parkour fix with both Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China and Mirror’s Edge. ACC: China is a 2.5D stealth action game that pulls in and uses many of the conventions of the Assassin’s Creed series, like wrist blades, Leaps of Faith, and platforming. Mirror’s Edge on the other hand is a first-person free-running game. Though more limited than its open-world sequel that came out earlier this year, the original features the same freedom of movement and death-defying jumps.
