The Assassin’s Creed franchise has had many ups and downs since it was brought to the world about a decade ago. As it keeps moving forward, fans have seen many installments set in all different time periods and lands. It is even being brought to life on the silver screen with Michael Fassbender starring as Aguilar. While nothing has been officially announced by Ubisoft, we may have our first look at the next mark in the series.

A leaked image has been seen on the Internet that could give some hints about the next Assassin’s Creed. First, the upper right corner of the screen has a title that reads “Assassin’s Creed Empire.” This could be a temporary title, but we’ll have to wait for an actual announcement from Ubisoft to see.

Another big part of this image, presumably from the computer of a developer, is a large game object in the form of a pyramid, with four other pillars set on on the corners of this structure. This would have us believe that the next Assassin’s Creed could be set in ancient Egypt. This is as good a time and place as any to have the assassins go in there and upset the establishment. Check out the post from Nibel on Twitter for yourself and see what you think of this leaked image.
