For the holiday season this year, Nintendo is gearing up to release two new special edition New 3DS designs. The designs will be black or white, and feature beloved Mushroom Kingdom characters and symbols.

Doug Bowser, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing shares, “Nintendo has some of the best gifts for the holiday season. Whether you’re looking for games for the whole family, or a cool new system at a great value, Nintendo has you covered.” And they sure do have us covered. With the New 3DS XL normally retailing around $170, and some newer special editions along the same vein being $200, this is a steal.
Nintendo recommends checking out their Holiday Gift Guide to get ready to play your new New 3DS, with upcoming games like Pokemon Sun and Moon, launching November 18th, and Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS, which launches December 2nd. With New Leaf’s new update out, and a new Pikmin on the way, old fans and new should be cracking open their 3DS in preparation.
The new black and white special edition New 3DS comes out November 25th, just for Black Friday, and will only be available while supplies last.
