In the gaming industry, when a new piece of hardware is announced, it always brings more questions than answers. After a number of press conferences and interviews, there are still things on the mind of the community left unsaid. That is, until someone goes straight to the source. With today’s social media technology, that’s exactly what people are doing to get the answers they want. Luckily for us, someone from Xbox actually answers.

It comes as no surprise to hear that Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox at Microsoft, has answered a burning question from yet another fan on Twitter. This time, it was in regards to backwards compatibility and how it would work with the Scorpio, the new and enhanced Xbox One. As usual, Spencer’s answer was quick and to the point. “Our 360 back compat program will continue on Scorpio.”

There you have it. No more worrying about whether or not you will still be able to play Red Dead Redemption on the Xbox Scorpio before its sequel arrives, as was the main concern of the fan on Twitter. There is no announced release date for this enhanced console yet, but Gamespresso will pass along the news as soon as we know.
