EA DICE has released a trailer for their Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One expansion, which you can check out below. The expansion is officially titled Rogue One: Scarif.
The content of the expansion is based on the upcoming film Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which is coming to theaters on December 16th.
The trailer mostly features cinematic moments with only a few short clips of gameplay, but it does show off what is new to the game. Shown are four new maps based on locations from the film, as well as two new playable hero characters from the film, Jyn Erso and Orson Krennic. The trailer also shows gameplay of new air-to-ground combat, with the player manning a turret aboard a ship and firing down on the players below who are fighting on the ground.
Season pass owners will get the new expansion on December 6th, as well as the free Star Wars Battlefront Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission DLC, for those who also have a PlayStation VR. Players who do not have the season pass will be able to play the Rogue One expansion two weeks after it releases for season pass owners.
If you haven’t picked up the game yet, the recent Ultimate Edition comes with a code for the season pass.
