It has been announced that D.Va will be receiving a buff in an upcoming patch for Overwatch.

On the Battle.net forums, Principal Designer Geoff Goodman announced that a change to D.Va’s defense matrix is on the way. Currently, the defense matrix will not block shots until they are a very small distance from the muzzle of the weapon that fired them. In the next patch, the plan is to remove the minimum distance so that projectiles will be killed directly out of the muzzle.

Overwatch is in the midst of its Lunar New Year event. During the event, players will be able to earn or buy special Lunar Loot Boxes. This boxes contain event-themed icons, sprays, voice clips, highlight intros, emotes, victory poses, and skins. While some characters received skins that were recolors of existing skins, a few received skins that drastically changed their looks, such as Mei and D.Va. Also added to Overwatch during the event is a new capture the flag mode entitled Capture the Rooster. In this mode, players are tasked with capturing the enemies flag while defending their own. Both the Lunar Loot Boxes and Capture the Rooster will only be available in Overwatch during the Lunar New Year event.

Overwatch is available now on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Lunar New Year event will last until February 13th.
