French publisher Focus Home Interactive, along with Asobo Studios, has announced its upcoming action adventure game, The Plague. The company plans to show off the game at this year’s What’s Next de Focus in February. It is currently planned to release on both PC and consoles.

Asobo’s CEO Sebastian Wloch commented on the collaboration in a press release, stating, “Collaborating with Focus Home Interactive on a new, original creation of our team is a major step in the development of our studio. For this ambitious project, we needed the full support of a strong and growing publisher. The Focus team, through their professionalism, enthusiasm and openness, have naturally established themselves as the ideal partners to bring the experience we wish to offer to players.”

Cédric Lagarrigue, the President at Focus Home Interactive, notes that they are excited as well and also states, “There is a real upscaling of our catalog and The Plague will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of the next years of Focus.”

Asobo Studios supported developement of both Quantum Break and Recore, while Focus Home Interactive has published a wide array of games, including Blood Bowl 2, the Farm Simulator series, Divinity Original Sin, and most recently Space Hulk: Deathwing.

The Plague is currently finishing up it’s pre-production phase and will appear on the 1st and 2nd of Febuary at the What’s Next de Focus convention in Paris.
