The latest Pokemon GO datamine leak shows what Niantic is planning for the game’s future. The leak includes information on upcoming items, features, and more.
The fan site The Silph Road recently dug into the V0.53.1 update and found a lot of juicy information hidden in the code. For example, the update includes new code regarding shiny Pokemon and Pokemon genders. The datamined code also mentions Pokemon Forms and explicitly names the alphabet soup Pokemon known as Unown. The code lists Unown A through Z, the question mark Unown, and the exclamation point Unown. Furthermore, the update name-drops a slew of new moves, including Fire Spin, Iron Tail, Counter, Outrage, Mirror Coat, Future Sight, Bullet Seed, and Zap Cannon.
Pokemon genders, forms, and moves are not the only new features hidden in the V0.53.1 update code. The code includes new items, such as belts, glasses, and necklaces for trainer customization, as well as the evolution items Sun Stone, King’s Rock, Metal Coat, Dragon Scale, and Up-grade. Longtime Pokefans know that these evolution items are required to obtain the Pokemon Sunflora, Bellossom, Slowking, Politoed, Steelix, Scizor, Kingdra, and Porygon2. If the update that introduced the egg Pokemon is any indication, Niantic might plan to only release a few new Pokemon at a time with the ones listed above being next on the list.
