Madden NFL 17, the most recent edition of the game, will be added to the EA Access games vault. EA announced via Twitter that the game will be added to the vault on February 24.

Although this version of the game came out last year, Madden NFL 18 has yet to release, and likely won’t until August (which is when Madden games typically release). This means that EA Access subscribers will actually be able to get some time with the latest game in the series before the new game comes out, which is a rarity for this program.

Madden NFL 17 is just one of the many other high-profile EA titles available to download in the EA Access vault. Some of the other games included are Dragon Age: Inquisition, Battlefield 4, Need for Speed, and Star Wars Battlefront.

Unfortunately, since Madden NFL 17 is only being added to EA Access, PC players won’t be able to download it for free since EA has a separate subscription program for PC called Origin Access, which has a completely different lineup of games available for download in its vault.

EA Access subscriptions are available only to Xbox One owners, and signing up will set you back either $4.99 per month or $29.99 per year.
