Nintendo has revealed the latest trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The Japanese company updated their website with the new preview, entitled, “Guard. In This Destiny.” It takes us to the world we can look forward to exploring, in one of the big launch titles for their upcoming Switch console.
Gematsu uploaded the new trailer to YouTube, after breaking the story on their web page.
The new teaser is as beautiful as it is peaceful. It shows us many of the vast landscapes we can expect, from frozen mountains to sweeping grasslands. We get a glimpse at some of the friends and foes we will encounter on our travels, and also see a few small segments of combat. Horseback riding, flame-dodging and sword-swinging all look superb, and there’s no doubt Nintendo is hoping Link and his latest adventure can help sell more than a few Switch consoles when the platform launches this March.
There was some contention as to whether Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild would be ready for release alongside the new machine, but the rumors were laid to rest at the official presentation for the Nintendo Switch this January. The extended trailer for the new game, shown at the presentation, ended with the reveal of it release date of March 3rd, the same as the console. The new title will also be releasing simultaneously on the Wii U.
